A year later Mark came across a great deal on a rusted-out cab with parts included from the US. He saw this as an opportunity to build up his dream Chevy from scratch. My son Devon and I decided to make this a passion project from the engine to the colour. Our first idea steered towards a rusted-out sleeper, which would be used as an everyday car, without fussing over it too much.However, after it came back from sandblasting, it was in much better condition than anticipated. Therefore it made us change our mind to produce a show-quality retro truck.

This big block bad boy is a real head-turner thanks to a comprehensive ground-up rebuild by owner @RianBrandt. I know people often frown on stereotypes. But just close your eyes for a second and imagine what kind of man would build and drive a muscle car like this and chances are you will have pictured Riaan perfectly. After meeting the guy Im not sure whos meaner Rian or the Chevelle
If Count Draculas coffin had an engine then this is what he would be sitting in. The red leather interior is in perfect contrast to the matt black exterior with its chrome trimming. Clint found his 1970 W108 Mercedes 280S on Gumtree from someone who deals in exotic birds and exotic is what he got. The original colour was ivory white and he took it to a garage to be re-sprayed but they botched it up.
Mark Mercury spotted a rusty old truck body and chassis while doing his inspection rounds, lying on vacant land in Grassy Park. The owner of the property had asked him to remove it and dump it in the scrap yard. Virtually all that remained of the wreck was the chassis, cab and half of the bin, with no doors or windows. Mark didnt know what it was until he found the original owner; who wanted to strip and restore the 1936 Plymouth Pickup. But, over time, some parts and bits got stolen and he abandoned the project.
