Kimberly Man Wins Monster Energy Ford Ranger Worth R1,2m

A local solar technician was given the keys to a Monster Energy Ford Ranger yesterday at the official Monster prize handover. Leeangir Roodt entered the Monster Energy promotion in September and recently discovered that he is the winner of the R1,2M truck.

“I remember quite clearly where I bought the Monster Energy can,” said Roodt. “It was at a local garage, and I bought it in September. I buy Monster every day, but I only entered the one tin that was in my bakkie.”  It’s not like Roodt wins contests very often, either. “The last time I won anything was when I was two years old,’ said Roodt,’ and I’m 31 years old now. So by the time it came to the end of November, and I hadn’t heard anything, I didn’t think I had won anything and forgot about it.

His prize is one exhilarating vehicle.

This truck’s life started as a 2022 Ford Ranger Double Cab 2,0 Single Turbo Auto. Then, it was time for some additions. The front bumper was painted in gloss black, and a bonnet lip was installed, along with front arch extensions, rear arch extensions as well as a grille with mesh inset. Furthermore, Monster went with 18-inch” Carlex Design alloy rims wrapped in BF Goodrich All Terrain 265/60 R18 tyres for the wheels. On the suspension, Monster opted for an Ironman Foam Cell Comfort full suspension kit that will give this Ranger a 40 50 mm lift.

Also, Monster opted for a Rockford Fosgate sound system. The Ranger was fitted with Silent Coat Sound deadening for the floor, doors and rear cab. The Rockford Fosgate system includes a DSR1 Sound Processor and Mid and Tweeters on the front doors. Furthermore, Co-Axials in the rear doors, 5 Channel Class D Amplifier and 10-inch Slimline Woofer. The system includes a Venter enclosure under the rear seat and green LED lights inside the cab. The Monster Ranger was fitted with Ironman Side Rock Sliders and a custom dual pipe cat-back exhaust system. With a total value of R1 197 021,87, it is a whole lot of truck.

So what is Roodt going to do with it?

“I am definitely going to keep it,” said Roodt. “This baby is going to stay at home. It is going to be my vehicle for on-the-road and travelling. It’s my vehicle now.
