I've ordered a timing chain, which seems to be the problem after all. So I'm taking the day off tomorrow to try and sort it out. First time for me changing a chain, so I hope I get everything back in the way it's supposed to be... Undecided

The car just won't start, and I've done all the logical things like points, plugs, condenser, coil etc. There is spark and fuel, but no Vrooom.

Turns out my timing chain slipped a few teeth due to being too slack.
